Administrative Assistant

​

This is a full-time 12-month position reporting to the Head of School.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage attendance process including arrival and dismissal

  • Manage Administrative calendars/ Schedule substitute teachers

  • Scheduling meetings with teachers, families and Student Support meetings

  • In coordination with school catering service, coordinate school lunch program

  • Maintain and organize administrative and school wide Google Drive Calendar

  • Assist Administration with communications Compose, edit, copy and schedule communication in Blackbaud and Gmail

  • Provide administrative assistance with book distribution and inventory

  • Assist with the organization of School field trips

  • Coordinate ordering and shipping of materials in support of teachers and program

  • Coordinate events for faculty, parents, and students

  • Provide front desk coverage

  • Maintain confidential student and faculty records

  • Attendance at weekly calendar/planning meetings

Teacher Aide​

​

The Bridges Academy in West Islip, New York seeks part time Teacher Aides to work with children in our Early Childhood program for the 2024-2025 school year. The positions available are for 3 and 5 days per week. Successful candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative, growth minded, family oriented community. Undergraduate or Associates degree in Education or related field with 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in a classroom setting are preferred.

Bridges opened in September, 2013 as a fully independent, federally recognized not-for-profit, offering Preschool through 8th grade,  an “all-through” school with no need to change schools at various grade points.
